We take your privacy and information security very seriously. We are committed to the careful handling, protection, and responsible use of your personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we and our affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively, "we" or "our") collect, how we collect it, how we use it, and how we share and protect it when you use PawTalk AI and any related mobile application downloadable via the App Store (collectively, the "services").

1. What Information Do We Collect

1.1 Device Information

1. To provide a better app experience, we collect limited information about your device, app environment, and network connection.
2. This may include SDK/API versions, IP address, platform, timestamps, app identifiers, app version, device model, operating system version, language settings, time zone, network status, screen resolution, memory usage, storage usage, and crash or diagnostic information reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the services.
3. Where permitted by applicable law, we may store certain information using app or device-related identifiers. We treat such information as personal information where required by law.

1.2 Data Related to Your Use of Services

1. We may collect app usage data such as click counts, pages viewed, page order, time spent on pages, request date and time, app open events, feature use events, permission status, app version, network status, and whether features are functioning properly.
2. We may also collect Firebase Device ID or similar analytics identifiers generated by integrated analytics tools, where applicable.
3. This data may be passed only to authorized analytics and infrastructure providers, such as Adjust, Umeng, Google Analytics, and Google Firebase, solely for analytics, service operation, diagnostics, fraud prevention, security, and product improvement.
4. We do not provide in-app third-party advertising and do not sell your personal information to third parties.

1.3 Information You Voluntarily Provide

We may collect information you voluntarily provide to us, including your email address, feedback, support requests, questionnaire responses, and other communications.

1.4 Pet Media and AI Processing Data

When you choose to use optional pet-related AI features, we collect and process only the data reasonably necessary to provide the specific function you request.

1. User-submitted pet media. This includes photos, videos, or audio clips that you select, upload, capture, import, submit, or otherwise provide for processing. These media may contain cats, dogs, or other pets. Depending on the requested feature and provider API, the media may be processed or transmitted as a temporary media URL, image bytes, video bytes, audio bytes, or Base64-encoded media content.
2. User inputs and task settings. This includes text prompts, optional instructions, pet-related task settings, and parameters such as style, resolution, aspect ratio, duration, effect settings, template selections, translation mode, or other settings needed to generate, analyze, translate, or edit the requested result.
3. Technical task metadata. This includes limited task-level technical parameters required to process the request, return the result, maintain service security, perform safety moderation, and support error handling. We do not intentionally transmit raw account credentials such as your password to third-party AI providers.

We collect this information directly from you when you choose media from your device, capture media in the app, record pet audio, enter a prompt or instruction, select settings, tap a feature entry point, or submit a pet-media processing request. We may also automatically collect limited technical request metadata necessary to securely process the request and return the result.

PawTalk AI is designed to process media that may contain cats, dogs, or other pets. Pet media is used only to provide the pet-related feature you request, such as pet sound analysis, translation-style output, pet image or video generation, editing, stylization, or media understanding.

Uploaded pet photos, pet videos, pet audio clips, and generated AI results are processed on a temporary basis. Unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law, original media and generated results stored on our servers are automatically deleted within 24 hours after the generation, analysis, translation-style processing, or editing process is completed.

We do not use your uploaded pet photos, pet videos, pet audio clips, prompts, or generated outputs to train, retrain, or improve our own AI models or the general-purpose models of our third-party AI providers. Your data is used solely to complete the specific task you requested.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

1. Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the services.
2. Process pet sound analysis, pet sound translation-style features, pet image generation, pet video generation, pet image or video editing, pet stylization, pet media understanding, and related AI features requested by you.
3. Store uploaded media in configured object storage when needed to run the requested workflow.
4. Route certain requests through our internal review service for content compliance detection, abuse prevention, and safety moderation.
5. Analyze usage, diagnose problems, maintain service stability, and improve feature quality.
6. Respond to your comments, inquiries, and support requests.
7. Prevent abuse, fraud, unauthorized access, or misuse.
8. Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

3. Information We Share

Your personal information may be shared with service providers and third-party partners only to the extent reasonably necessary to operate the services, provide features requested by you, perform analytics, maintain security, comply with law, or otherwise as described in this policy.

We may share limited technical, device, usage, and diagnostic data with Adjust, Umeng, Google Analytics, and Google Firebase to measure app performance, diagnose issues, maintain security, and improve the services.

When you choose to use optional moderation, pet-media analysis, AI generation, AI editing, or translation-style features, we may share the data necessary to fulfill your request with the specific service provider used by that feature. PawTalk AI follows a feature-by-feature, model-by-model, and need-to-know approach. PawTalk AI does not send every uploaded pet photo, pet video, or pet audio clip to every listed provider, and does not simultaneously share your media with all vendors.

Depending on the feature you use, data may be handled as follows:

• Configured object storage: user-uploaded pet photos, pet videos, or pet audio clips may first be stored in the app's configured object storage bucket, endpoint, or region so that the requested workflow can be processed.
• Our internal review service: pet images, pet videos, pet audio clips, or prompts may first be sent to our internal review service for content compliance detection. This step does not itself perform AI generation or translation-style output.
• Alibaba Cloud: for certain pet image or pet video processing features, Alibaba Cloud may receive pet image or video content as media bytes, Base64-encoded data, or accessible media URLs, together with prompt, style, resolution, aspect ratio, duration, and other task parameters necessary to generate, enhance, analyze, or edit the requested result.
• Tencent Cloud: for certain pet image generation, pet image editing, or pet-media processing features, Tencent Cloud may receive uploaded pet images or videos, media URLs, prompts, editing instructions, and related generation parameters necessary to provide the requested result.
• Zhipu AI: for certain image-to-video or multimodal pet-media generation features, Zhipu AI may receive pet image Base64 data or pet image URLs together with prompts, quality settings, size, duration, fps, and similar task parameters necessary to generate the requested result.
• ByteDance / Volcengine: for certain pet image-to-video, pet stylization, or multimodal generation features, ByteDance / Volcengine may receive pet image URLs, pet video URLs, prompts, ratio, resolution, duration, style settings, and similar task parameters necessary to generate the requested result.
• Google Gemini: for certain pet sound analysis, pet sound translation-style features, pet image generation, pet video generation, pet image understanding, or pet video understanding features, Google Gemini may receive text prompts, pet audio clips, pet images, pet videos, input image URLs, multiple input images, reference video URLs, resolution, aspect ratio, duration, and related task parameters necessary to provide the requested result.

AI-related data is transmitted in encrypted form and only when reasonably necessary to provide the feature requested by you. We do not authorize third-party AI providers to use your uploaded pet photos, pet videos, pet audio clips, prompts, generation parameters, or generated outputs for unrelated purposes beyond providing the specific functionality requested by you, except where required by applicable law.

We require third-party recipients to process personal data only for the specific functionality requested by you, in accordance with our instructions, confidentiality obligations, and applicable data protection laws, and to provide the same or equal protection for the shared data.

We further require that Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, ByteDance / Volcengine, Zhipu AI, and Google Gemini are contractually restricted from using your uploaded personal media, pet photos, pet videos, pet audio clips, prompts, or generated outputs for their own AI model training, retraining, or unrelated product improvement purposes.

4. Important Permissions We Request

1. Photos: to let you select, import, save, or export pet photos and videos for analysis, generation, editing, and sharing.
2. Camera: to let you capture pet photos or videos directly in the app for optional creation, analysis, or editing features.
3. Microphone: to let you record pet sounds, environmental audio, or related voice clips for optional pet sound analysis or translation-style features.
4. Notifications: to notify you about important service-related updates, processing status, or other app notices, where applicable.
5. Network Access: to allow the app to communicate with our servers and integrated service providers in order to provide requested features, including optional AI processing and analytics.

5. Legal Basis for Processing Your Personal Data

We process personal data for the purposes described in this privacy policy. The legal bases include performance of a contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, and, where applicable, your consent or other legal bases permitted by applicable law. This may include transmitting your uploaded pet photos, pet videos, pet audio clips, prompts, generation parameters, and related personal data to service providers where reasonably necessary to provide the feature you request.

6. Your Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information. 7. Children's Privacy Protection

This service is not directed at anyone under the age of 13. We do not intentionally collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete that information from our servers as required by applicable law. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

8. Changes to the Policy

We may revise this policy from time to time. If material changes occur, we will provide additional notice in appropriate ways. Your continued use of the app or services after the updated policy becomes effective means that you acknowledge the updated policy.
